Can the Lifestyle save my marriage?
In short, Absolutely NOT.
If you marriage or relationship is already in trouble, the lifestyle is not going to help. It will in most cases, it will only make it worse. Since you are already missing some key elements of your relationship, to make it work.
What you need to be in the lifestyle, is open and completely honest communication between you and your partner, among other things. Communication between you and your partner is absolutely the most important element in any relationship, and even more important in the lifestyle.
You need to be able to talk openly and honestly about anything and everything in your relationship, and especially about your sexual wants and desires.
Ask yourself and your partner a few questions:
1. Can you talk about your sexual desires without jealousy or any animosity?
2. Can you describe in detail, what you would like someone else to do to or with you during a sexual encounter?
3. Can you watch your partner have sexual intercourse with someone else other than your partner?
4. If after a sexual encounter with someone other than your mate, can you talk opening about the experience? Likes, dislikes.
5. Could you learn a certain move or technique from what you learned from that sexual encounter?
6. One of my favorites. Can you look at someone in a public setting (Mall, Shopping Center, etc..) and say to your partner ” Hey that person is HOT, I would like to have sex with that person, and your partner says “I agree, lets ask?”
This is only a small list, but if you can’t answer “Yes” to all of them or at least most of them. You are not ready to be in the lifestyle. Take some time, and talk to each other and learn. Many people think they have an open and honest relationship. However, in reality, there are many things you keep from your partner, so as to not hurt their feelings or for some for other reason. You have to be able to tell your partner those things, before you get into the lifestyle. This will build your relationship to be stronger than you could imagine.
You have to have a STRONG relationship to be in the lifestyle.
Remember the Lifestyle, is just and extension of your own sexual relationship. Not in addition to.
Always, ..Always remember that when you get into the lifestyle, it is just SEX, period. Nothing more. You came with your partner, and you will leave with your partner. Your partner is the one coming home with you at the end of the evening.
Statistics show, that divorce among swingers is very low, and cheating is almost non-existent. Why cheat when you and your partner, are having sex with other people already. Doesn’t make sense, does it?
